Residential Blaze Leaves Two Dead, Another Two Missing in Japan
Local officials reported the blaze ignited just before 3 a.m. at a two-story wooden residence situated in the coastal Ozakai neighborhood of northern Himi. Emergency responders were dispatched after a nearby resident noticed flames on the home’s first floor and promptly called for help.
While two victims were discovered deceased at the scene, authorities have not yet been able to reach the other two presumed occupants of the house.
The fire took place in a small seaside community within northern Himi city. Investigations into the fire’s origin remain ongoing.
